Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Yes. We dry walls, floors and framing in place, and we measure moisture until the readings show it's done, not just until it looks dry.

Signs you need this
- Drywall or baseboards that feel cool or soft
- A musty smell after a leak was "cleaned up"
- Flooring that's cupping or lifting
- Paint bubbling or staining on lower walls

Why drying is the job
Getting the water off the floor is the easy part. The real work is the water you can’t see: inside drywall, behind baseboards, in insulation, under flooring and in wood framing. If it stays there, materials swell and warp, and mould can grow.
Structural drying is how we get that water out without tearing out more than we have to.
How we do it
Moisture meters. We measure walls, floors and framing, and compare them to dry areas of the same house. That shows exactly where the water went, often well beyond the visible stain.
Air movers. High-velocity fans push air across wet surfaces so moisture evaporates faster.
Dehumidifiers. They pull that moisture out of the air so it doesn’t settle back into the house.
Targeted drying. For walls, we may drill small holes behind baseboards to push air inside the cavity. For hardwood or cabinets, we may use specialized drying setups. We choose what saves the most material.
Daily readings. We come back, take readings, and adjust. Equipment is removed only when the numbers show the materials are dry.
Drying and mould
Wet materials can grow mould. Thorough, fast drying is the best way to stop it. If we find mould has already started, we’ll tell you plainly, and our sister company Edmonton Mould can handle removal.
Records for your insurer
Moisture readings are evidence. We log them on each visit, with photos, so your adjuster can see the drying was needed and was done properly. See our insurance claim help. If water is still coming in, start with what to do in the first 24 hours.
Our process
Measure
Moisture meters and thermal checks map every wet area, including inside walls.
Set up
Air movers push air across wet surfaces, and dehumidifiers pull the water out of the air.
Monitor
We take readings on each visit and move or adjust equipment as areas dry.
Verify
Equipment comes out only when readings show materials are dry.
What it costs
About $4 to $7 per sq ft for drying; most jobs $3,000 to $10,000
Typical Canadian range. Final price confirmed after inspection.

Questions people ask
How long does drying take?
It depends on what got wet and how long it was wet. Drywall dries faster than hardwood or concrete. We give you an estimate after the first readings and update it as we go.
Can I just use fans and a household dehumidifier?
For a small, shallow spill caught right away, maybe. For water that got into walls, under floors or into framing, household equipment usually can't dry it fast enough, and you can't see whether it worked.
Why does fast drying matter?
Materials that stay wet can swell, warp and grow mould. Drying properly the first time is cheaper than tearing out mouldy drywall later.
Will the equipment be noisy?
Yes, air movers and dehumidifiers are loud and run day and night. We place them to dry the space as fast as possible and remove them as soon as it's dry.
